Warwickshire County Cricket Club went down to a ten wicket to Kent tonight under the Duckworth/ Lewis method.
At Canterbury, in a CB40 game, Warwicks were in trouble from the start. Varun Chopra went without scoring, before Mark Davies had Porterfield, Troughton and Ambrose all caught to leave Warwicks on 9-4.
Darren Maddy and Rikki Clarke who top-scored with 39, made a brief fightback before losing their wickets.
They had just lost the wicket of Keith Barker when the rain came down.
Play was suspended with Warwicks on 94-7 and when play resumed at 8.41, Warwicks' innings was over and Kent were set a target of 96 runs from 26 overs under the Duckworth/Lewis method.
For Kent, this was no problem. Sam Billings hit an unbeaten 58 and Robert Key an unbeaten 24 in seventy minutes to inflict Warwicks first defeat of the season.
