Tom Bohli of BMC has won the Driedaagse van West-Vlaanderen Prologue and set a new course record in the process.
The Three Days of West Flanders race started with a 7km prologue in Middelkerke and saw Julien Alaphilippe of Etixx Quick Step take an early lead with a time of 8.17 before Joseph Rosskopf of BMC take over the lead with a new fastest time of 8.09.
That lasted untll BMCs Tom Bohli became the first rider ever to record a time of less than eight minutes on this prologue course when he flew home in a time of 7.50.
Martin Keizer of LottoNL-Jumbo finished his prologue in 7.56 to go second with another time that had smashed the course record.
