Warwickshire County Cricket Club made 299-7 on the opening day of their County Championship game with Durham at Edgbaston.
Durham won the toss and put Warwicks into bat. They had made 34 when Varun Chopra went on the first ball of the eleventh over, caught by Brothwick off the bowling of former England player Graham Onions.
Ian Westwood had made most of those runs and he went in the eighteenth over, trapped lbw by Rushworth for 28.
Will Porterfield and Jim Troughton moved the score on but on 111, Porterfield, who had made 27 was caught by Smith to give Chris Rushworth a second wicket.
Troughton and Evans put on a partnership of 77 for the fourth wicket which saw Evans caught after making 44.
Tim Ambrose came in and hit 31 from 46 balls before he was bowled by Stokes. That saw Warwicks on 234-5 and that became six a run later when Rikki Clarke was caught behind by Mustard off the bowling of Smith.
Two runs later and Stratford's Jim Troughton who had hit 12 fours in a knock of 84 was caught by Benkenstein.
Chris Woakes (19 not out) and Keith Barker (39 not out) took Warwicks through to a stumps total of 299-7.
