Warwicks Bowl Out Yorkshire

Warwickshire County Cricket Club bowled Yorkshire out for 297 on the opening day of their County Championship game at Leeds 

Warwickshire gave a debut to Chris Wright who was on loan from Essex and lost the toss to Yorkshire who opted to bat.

Yorkshire had put on 40 when Keith Barker struck to remove Jack Ruddolph. The home side added eighty more runs before Wright struck to have Root trapped lbw after he had made 29.

Sayers who had hit 47 followed four balls later and Wright got his second wicket when Chopra caught McGrath.

Yorks turned 134-4 into 191-5 when Brophy became Barker's third victim. Chris Metters took the first of three wickets when he had Rashid caught by Chaunderpaul and when Gary Ballance who had top scored with 57 fell to Metters, Barker who took 4-73 and Metter who took 3-31 mopped up the tail to get Yorkshire all out for 297 in 94.2 overs.
