A final morning batting collapse by Warwickshire County Cricket Club did not matter as they earned a 45 run victory on the final day of the County Championship game at Canterbury.
Warwicks started the day on 258-4 but when Jon Trott was out after adding just a run to his overnight score of 65, this started a collapse.
Rikki Clarke went for 4, Chris Woakes, 11 and Tim Ambrose 14 followed by Naqaash Tahir and Imran Tahir without troubling the scorers.
Only Neil Carter offered any resistance making an unbeaten 37 from 48 balls as Warwicks fell 327 all out leaving Kent just 201 to win and the best part of two sessions to get the runs.
Denly was out after facing two balls when Kent batted for a second time and it became 33-2 as Jones was caught by Ambrose off the bowling of Woakes.
Rikki Clarke took the wicket of Key for his seventh in the match as Kent moved to 96-3 at tea.
However, the final session was dominated by Imran Tahir who took four wickets. The first removed Northeast for 26. This was followed by Darren Maddy capturing the valuable wicket of van Jaarsveld who top scored with 59 and Hockley for a single.
Kent still needed 73 to win but Imran Tahir wanted more wickets and he leg break googly bowler, added two more by removing Coles and Cook.
Then when he had Stevens out for 18 to claim figures of 4-27, a win for Warwicks looked on.
Ntini faced three balls from Chris Woakes but was clean bowled to see Kent all out for 156 and Warwicks winners by 45 runs.
On Sunday, Warwicks are back in PRO40 action with a home game against Durham. Play at Edgbaston is due to start at 1pm.
Then on Monday, Warwicks travel to Leeds/Bradford UCCE for a three day game.
