Warwickshire County Cricket Club are still in with a good shout of victory going into the final day tomorrow of their County Championship game with Sussex at Arundel.
At Arundel today, Warwicks resumed on 369-6 and took their score to 408 when Keith Barker was out after making fifty two.
Chris Metters made six and lost Jeetan Patel for 21 and Boyd Rankine without scoring leaving Rikki Clarke who was in good form, hitting three sixes and four fours to finish 81 not out.
With the Warwicks innings ending on 481, that meant Sussex were 230 runs behind.
Warwicks struck early with Nash and Joyce both out with 35 on the board. Thirty nine runs later, Ed Joyce was trapped lbw and Warwicks were sensing that they could get this finished, especially when the wickets of Wells and Hodds left them on 114-5.
However, Sussex resisted with Luke Wright 75 not out and Ollie Rayner 29 not out as the match went into the final day with the home side still 29 runs behind with five wickets remaining.
