Warwickshire County Cricket Club were beaten by a Duckworth/Lewis five wickets against Leicestershire this evening.
Warwickshire batted first at Edgbaston in their final 20/20 game and two fours for Varun Chopra and then a six helped bring sixteen runs in the first over.
In the fourth over, Varun Chopra was out for 24, when he was caught at square leg off the bowling of Henderson and Warwicks on 33-1.
At the end of the powerplay, Warwicks, who have moved their total on to fifty eight, had Neil Carter caught by Nixon off the bowling of Henderson for 20.
The Bears continued to score runs and were 88-2 at the halfway stage. Twenty one runs from the 13th over boosted the score and in the next over, Henderson had his third wicket when Will Porterfield was caught after making 37.
Henderson was involved in the fourth Warwickshire wicket which saw him catch Rikki Clarke who had made ten, quickly followedby Jim Troughton being caught by Cobb after making 46 from 32 balls including five fours and a six.
Keith Barker went for two and in the final over with the raining coming down, Warwicks lost Ant Botha (7) and Chris Woakes (13) as they finished their twenty overs on 166-8.
The rain meant that five overs were lost and Leicestershire needed 133 to win from fifteen overs.
They had made 32 from the first three overs and in the fourth, Cobb was caught by Johnson off the bowling of Chris Woakes.
Jeetan Patel struck in the next over, getting Jefferson lbw to see Leicestershire on 35-2.
Apart from the eighth over, where they scored fifteen, Warwickshire were able to restrict the visitors attack and they needed 55 from the remaining five overs.
That came down to thirty from three. Taylor hit a huge six before being caught by Carter off the bowling of Barker for 49.
Six runs were needed from the final over. A brilliant catch by Clarke got McDonald out. Five runs were needed from the last three balls but a six from White gave Leicestershire a five wicket victory under D/L.
