Warwickshire Bears gained a bit of revenge over Durham this afternoon by comprehensively beating the home side in The Friends Provident T20 competition by 5 wickets with two overs to spare.
Warwickshire won the toss and sent Durhan in to bat. The home side scored 117-8 in their 20 overs with Morkel top scoring with 48 before being caught by Botha off the bowling of Barker. He scored one 6 and two 4's.
Tahir was the pick of the Bears bowlers picking up 3-19 of his three overs. Carter and Barker both bagged two wickets apiece with Ranking getting one wicket.
Warwickshire bludgeoned their way to victory scoring 120 off 18 overs and losing just 5 wickets in the process. Top scorer for the bears was Troughton who scored 34 before being stumped by Mustard off the bowling of Breese. Clarke scored 29 no with two 6's and one 4 off 21 balls.
Steve Harmison who destroyed Warwickshire yesterday on the final day of the LV County Championship when he took 7 wickets, could only get one in the T20 today, that of opening batsman Carter who was caught by the sub for 8 runs.
