Warwickshire County Cricket Club lost their County Championship game against Lancashire at Edgbaston.

Lancs carried on from their overnight total of 118-4 but Chris Woakes struck early taking the wickets of Croft who had made 67 and Cross to give him a four wicket haul.

When Proctor went for 18, the tail was soon mopped up and Lancs were all out for 189.

This left Warwicks 245 to win with a day and a half to get the runs on a very difficult pitch.

Will Porterfield was again no help lasting only five balls without scoring before he was caught behind by Cross.

Ian Bell faced the same amount of balls and had made three runs when he was caught by Brown to give Chapple a second wicket.

Varun Chopra and Jon Trott added 54 before Chopra was caught behind. Then Mohammad Yousuf went for ten and Jon Trott 39 to leave Warwicks on 88-5 in the 24th over. The slump continued and Kerrigan took his wickets in the innings to seven for only five runs conceded as Warwickshire were all out for 97 and a 145 run defeat..
