Bedworth’s Ryan Parnell claimed the first double century of this season this week as Bedworth posted 383 for 1 in the premier division, declaring 6 overs early. Kenilworth also found the pitch at the miner ground in Bedworth condusive to batting and closed 217 for 9 to hold out for a draw. The result keep Bedworth in with a slight chance of the title whilst Kenilworth are looking at relegation. There was little change at the top, Sutton Coldfield, Four Oaks Saint and Rugby all having the better of the results. There was a massive match up in Division 2 this week when 1st played second with Pickwick and Solihull Municipal 6 points apart and Solihull top. At the end of the night places reversed when Pickwick defended 154 all out, S Khan taking 4 for 63 is defeating Solihull who could only make 74 in return. Standard also took advantage drawing level in second place having easiloy defeated Old Eds by 4 wickets . Aston continue to lead in division 3 after defeating Hunningham
Dunlop are firm favourite to join the upper reaches of the league for the first time in several years , away against 2nd place Oakfield this week, Khan and Iqbal both making 109 had them scoring a massive second best score of the day at 380 for 5, to win by a margin 278 runs when Oakfiled made 102 all out chasing. Division 5 reamins the Star Alvis and Peugeot show, Peugeot making a small dent on the Start lead when defeating Moseley by 4 wickets, whilst Star having made 244 at home to Bulkington found Bulkington resilient enough to hold out 9 down on 162 for a draw. Division 6 remains the tightest of them all with Bridge Trust only 3 point away from Attock at the top when they lost to Standard by 3 wickets. Attock in a battle of Birmingham league 3rd Xis defeated Aston Manor by 97 runs to close the gap, do not discount Four Oakes saints of several others
