Warwickshire County Cricket Club fought back on the second day of their opening County Championship game with Sussex.
After a day which had seen Warwicks all out for 87 and Sussex all out for 229, Warwicks went into bat and promptly lost Varun Chopra with only four runs on the board when he was trapped lbw by Magoffin.
Laurie Evans came in added fifteen before being caught by Yardy to give Jordan a wicket and two overs later, Chris Jordan had a second wicket when he had Jonathan Trott caught by Magoffin for 26 from fifty balls.
That left Warwicks on 49-3 but in to bat came Ian Bell. The Coventry born England international quickly passed the 16,000 runs scored mark and started to play some decent shots.
Bell lost the services of Tim Ambrose who had 19 when he was caught by Ed Joyce and Chris Woakes, who was Jordan's third victim for 23 but worked well with Rikki Clarke.
The pair put on 132 for the sixth wicket with Bell passing the century mark from 212 balls including eleven fours and one and Rikki Clarke making 79 before he was caught behind by Brown off the bowling of Jimmy Anyon.
Having moved their score past three hundred, Warwicks lost a seventh wicket after Keith Barker was caught by Brown.
However, Ian Bell batted on to finish on an unbeaten 144 at the close with Jeetan Patal not out on 47 as Warwicks ended the day on 367-7, some 245 runs ahead with three wickets in hand and two days left to play.
