Warwickshire Go Down To Hampshire Defeat

Warwickshire County Cricket Club went down to a 209 run defeat at Edgbaston today on the final day of their County Championship game.

Hants resumed on 163-4 and a superb 145 by James Vince took the visitors to 416 all out with Chris Woakes taking three wickets to record a ten game haul and four wickets for Boyd Rankin.

Warwicks needed 308 for victory but lost Westwood and Porterfield with eight runs on the board.

The score had moved on to nineteen when Tomlinson removed Chanderpaul, Troughton and Ambrose withour scoring.

Varun Chopra made 19 before Clarke hit 21 and Woakes top-scored with 23 as Warwicks crashed to 98 all out and a 209 run defeat.
