Maurice Chambers took wickets on his debut for Warwickshire County Cricket Club on the opening day of their County Championship match with Sussex at Edgbaston.
The Essex seamer who has joined on loan, came in to a Warwicks side which lost the toss and fielded.
Chris Nash and Luke Wells had put on 121 when Chambers struck to have Nash, who had made 59, trapped lbw.
Michael Yardy came in and added twenty one before he was out lbw to Keith Barker and five runs later, Barker followed that up with a second wicket when he had Nash, who had hit 65, caught by Recordo Gordon.
Jeetan Patal had Hamilton-Brown caught by Varun Chopra without scoring, so Matt Machan came in but had made only twelve when Chambers had him give a catch to Ateeq Javid.
Ben Brown lasted for fourteen balls but Chambers claimed his third wicket when he had him trapped lbw.
Chris Jordan, who has been called into England One Day squad, completed the day on 58 not out as Sussex as closed on 287-7.
