The Ball Hill based Coventry Music Museum reached another milestone on Sunday, when it welcomed its' 5000th visitor. Neil Anson from London, was on a day out with his relations from Kenilworth and was stunned on entering the museum to hear he was a winner. He said, "I was flabbergasted, I had no idea, and thought they were having a laugh".
Neil wins a free VIP membership and lifetime free access to the museum, "I will definitely be coming again now", he joked. the museum recently announced expansion plans, with new galleries promised, one that will showcase the history of The Godiva Festival.
Museum Director Suky Singh said, this is an important day for the museum and for the 2-Tone Village and Coventry itself. It means we have attracted 5000 paying guests, from all over the country and indeed the world, all who leave a lot more clued up about the city and its musical heritage after they visit. It's humbling to be able to show visitors the history from our city.
The museum has been the number one Coventry attraction on Trip Advisor for 16 months, is open Thursday to Sunday 10.00 am to 4.00pm. The website is located at www.covmm.co.uk
