Diversity Rocks is a concert celebrating the diversity of Coventry and Warwickshire’s communities.
The evening’s entertainment will be hosted by BBC radio presenter, Brody Swain, and will include acts from a wide variety of musical genres such as 2 Tone, Gospel, Polish music, Bhangra, Reggae, Rock and Spoken Word.
The Neville Staple Band and Sugary Staple will headline a line-up featuring Asian music collective, Offlicence and the award-winning Bhangra dance group Gabhru Panjab De.
Also taking to the stage is Ruder Than U, the band spawned from the smash-hit Belgrade Theatre musical, Three Minute Heroes, singers Letitia George (from The Voice) and Sandra Godley.
Completing the line-up are Coventry’s all female Barber Shop chorus Silver Lining, and the acclaimed Polish choir, Senza Nome*.
Diversity Rocks marks the 40th anniversary of Rock Against Racism, a movement which sparked marches, festivals and concerts across the UK, aimed at fighting racism through music, from 1976 – 1981. It also follows on from Coventry’s famous Festival Against Racism which was held at the Butts Stadium in Coventry in 1981.
