Danny Fox, playing in left midfield, hit the bar in the second minute. Wrexham have a corner following a mistake by McPake let the Wrexham striker in.
In the 8th minute, 'City win a corner, but nothing comes of it.
Quarter of an hour gone and Dimi had to dive high and to his right to make a save from a twenty yard shot from Gareth Taylor.
Morrison tried a curling shot from 18 yards which led to a corner, which was cleared by the Wrexham defence.
Wrexham look useful in the midfield, but are being competently held by a 'City defence led by Doyle.
21 minutes gone and Cain has a shot from the right that was deflected out for a corner. Chris Maxwell in the Wrexham goal has not had a shot to save yet.
23 minutes and the first goal of the game. An error by Konstantopolous slips, the ball is passed to Gareth Taylor who slips the ball into an empty net from 13 yards.
Bad news for 'City. Curtis Wynter is carried off on a stretcher, he has a leg injury and has been replaced by Jordan Clarke.
Morrison passes to Doyle who blasts over the bar. Two minutes later a good run by Fox, but is stopped inside the area.
34th minute and Best is on for Eastwood. 'City win a free kick 25 yards out which is taken by Fox. The shot is pushed past the post by Maxwell in the Wrexham goal, for a corner.
In the 38th minute Wrexham win a corner, the ball is crossed and headed goalwards by Kempson and Konstantopolous catches it to ironic cheers from the 'City fans.
40 minutes gone and Taylor gets through the 'City defence again, but his weak shot is easily smothered by Konstantopolous.
On the stroke of half time, 'City win a corner, taken by McPake. Morrison connects with an overhead kick but it goes wide.

Half time changes: Off come Konstantopolous, Hall, Turner, McPake, Cain, Osbourne and Doyle.
The replacements are: Westwood, Wright,(capt.) Ward, Bell, Gunnarsson, Walker, and Grandison.
Six minutes into the second half and Wrexham are awarded a free kick which is deflected for a corner.
The 150 'City fans are quiet. The weather has improved since kickoff and it is now dry and quite warm.
In the 57th minute, Walker has a shot that goes wide, then Morrison goes through, but shoots well over the bar.
Gunnarsson has a good shot saved by the Wrexham substitute 'keeper.
With half an hour to go Eastwood comes on for Morrison.
Three minutes later and Best wins a free kick. Fox curls the ball in but is headed away by the defence for a corner. Anothe corner follows straight away and Jermaine Grandison rose high to head home from eight yards to equalise.
Cain replaces Fox on 64 minutes.
Stephen Wright has to head the ball off his own line in the 66th minute.
Simon Brown shoots across the face of the goal as Wrexhan fans take exception to some of the 'City tackles.
A foul by Wright gives Wrexham a free kick just 20 yards out.The free kick is taken by Baynes and Westwood makes a superb save to push the ball out for a corner.
It has emerged that Wynter has a knee injury and is now on crutches. It is not yet known the extent of the injury or how long he will be out.
'City win a corner in the 82nd minute. The ball reaches Bell in the area, who passes back to Ward who in turn curls a shot wide of the far post.
Three minutes to go of normal time and Westwood makes a stunning save diving to his left to deny Baynes' 27 yard , right footed drive.
89 minutes gone and 'City have another corner.Eastwood received the ball and beat his marker to get a shot away, only to see it saved low down by the 'keeper.
