WHO ARE THEY?
1885 or 1886 depending on which source you believe, was the date when Christchurch Rangers and St Judes Institute amalgamated to form Queens Park Rangers. They turned professional in 1989 and entered the Football League in 1920 losing 2-1 at Waford in their first league game.

QPR have won Division 2,Division 3 and Division 3 South and in 1975/76 finished as Runners Up in the top flight. After three seasons in what is now League One, QPR are in their third season in the Championship.

A club who has played home matches on thirteen different grounds, Rangers moved to Loftus Road in 1917. Apart from two spells at thew world famous White City Stadium, they have played at Loftus Road since then.
Rangers are on their third manager in less than six months with John Gregory now in charge after taking over from Gary Waddock who replaced Ian Holloway.

LAST MATCH
Coventry lost 3-0 at Birmignham whilst QPR lost 2-1 at home to West Brom last Saturday but beat Preston 1-0 on Tuesday night..

This is the 100th league and cup game between the two sides. The Sky Blues have won on 41 occasions with 25 draws. They have scored 170 goals compared to QPR's 130.

Back in November, the Sky Blues won 1-0 at Loftus Road thanks to a 48th minute goal from Dele Adebola. The West Londoners were the first side ever to play the Sky Blues at the Ricoh Arena on August 20th 2005 and were beaten 3-0. Only five of the sixteen City players on duty that day are still at the club.

TEAM NEWS
Iain Dowie only has injuries to David McNamee and Don Hutchison. Khalli Fadiga,Andy Whing and Colin Cameron could all be ncluded in the squad.

For Queens Park Rangers, John Gregory has injury concerns over Lee Cook,Michael Mancienne, Inigo Idiakez and Martin Rowlands. Marc Bircham is definitely out with a back injury. Former Sky Blue Rohan Ricketts may get an outing.

The currently appointed referee is Uriah Rennie. His assistants are J.Devine and S.Proctor-Green. The fourth official is G.Sutton.

Mr Rennie who hails from Sheffield was in charge of City's 1-0 win at QPR last season.

HOW TO GET THERE
By car: Leave the M6 at junction 3. Take the A444 towards the City centre and at the first island go left and you will see the Ricoh Arena on your right.
By rail: For all train information call National Rail Enquiries on: 08457 48 49 50, but be warned Coventry station is a £10+ taxi ride away. Take the 27 bus from the train station get off at Pool Meadow bus station and catch the 4 or 5 service. Or go out of doors and over the road by Sainsburys and get the 20, getting off the by Tescos.

Parking: Car parking is extremely restricted around the ground. Supporters are advised that there is only park and ride site to the south of the city at the Jaguar car plant.

AWAY SUPPORTERS PARKING
Car parking around the Ricoh Arena is strictly limited.
However, there is a designated away supporters car park, situated around five minutes walk away from the ground. The car park is secure and cost is £5 - but spaces are limited to just 100.

Directions: M6 to junction 3. Take 3rd exit if coming from north or 1st exit if travelling from the south. At the 2nd roundabout, take the 2nd exit, under the railway bridge, through the first set of traffic lights, and pass the pedestrian lights. At the next set of lights, turn right into Blackburn Road and the car park is at the top of the road.

Some car satellite navigation systems have not been updated to show Coventry City FC as playing at the Ricoh Arena. Those visiting the ground for the first time are advised to enter "Phoenix Way" and the post code "CV6 6GE" instead.
