WHO ARE THEY?
Formed in 1867 by the Sheffield Wednesday Cricket Club. Early matches were played at Highfield,Myrtle Road,Sheaf House,Olive Grove before moving to Owlerton in 1899. In 1912, the ground became known as Hillsborough, The Owls home ever since.

Wednesday's first Football League game was in 1892 with a 1-0 away win at Notts County. They have won Division One on four occasions and Division Two on five occasions. Relegated from the Premier League in 1999/2000,they had three seasons in the Championship before being relegated.

The Owls were promoted into the Championship in 2004/05 via the play-offs.

They have won the FA Cup three times and three times lost the final. They also won the League Cup in 1991.

Their current manager is Brian Laws who took over from Paul Sturrock earlier this month.

RECENT FORM
City lost 2-1 at home to Derby whilst Wednesday won 2-0 at Ipswich. City are 15th in the league with Wednesday 13th.

This will be the 75th game between the two sides. City have won on twenty eight occasions with twenty draws.

The last league game between the two sides saw City win 2-1 at the Arena on Feb 15th this year. Goals from Stern John and Gary McSheffrey put City two up before Chris Brunt plulled one back.

TEAM NEWS
Mikkel Bischoff,David McNamee,Kevin Thornton and Stuart Giddings are out. Matt Heath is on loan to Leeds,Wayne Andrews has been told to find another club and Robert Page will captain the side. Whether Stephen Hughes will be part of the squad has not yet been announced.

For Wednesday, the only real doubt is on Madjid Bougherra who was international duty with Algeria this week. Frank Simek,John Hills, Kenny Lunt and Wade Small all picked up knocks or strains but should be all fit to play.

Mr Swarbrick's last game in charge of City was the 1-0 win at Hull City earlier in the season.

HOW TO GET THERE
By car: Leave the M6 at junction 3. Take the A444 towards the City centre and at the first island go left and you will see the Ricoh Arena on your right.
By rail: For all train information call National Rail Enquiries on: 08457 48 49 50, but be warned Coventry station is a £10+ taxi ride away. Take the 27 bus from the train station get off at Pool Meadow bus station and catch the 4 or 5 service. Or go out of doors and over the road by Sainsburys and get the 20, getting off the by Tescos.

Parking: Car parking is extremely restricted around the ground. Supporters are advised that there is only park and ride site to the south of the city at the Jaguar car plant.

Ash Green has come under the same match day parking restrictions as Foleshill,Holbrooks and Longford. The area is just the other side of the Warwickshire border and was not affected by the 2km parking zone around the Arena. Now householders in Ash Green must get a permit to park outside their property on match days as Warwickshire Police will be enforcing a parking ban with a £60 fine for those parking without a permit.

AWAY SUPPORTERS PARKING
Car parking around the Ricoh Arena is strictly limited.
However, there is a designated away supporters car park, situated around five minutes walk away from the ground. The car park is secure and cost is £5 - but spaces are limited to just 100.

Directions: M6 to junction 3. Take 3rd exit if coming from north or 1st exit if travelling from the south. At the 2nd roundabout, take the 2nd exit, under the railway bridge, through the first set of traffic lights, and pass the pedestrian lights. At the next set of lights, turn right into Blackburn Road and the car park is at the top of the road.
