It’s time for City to battle their way back up the table starting with the home game against Luton Town at the Arena on Saturday 3pm kick off.
Micky Adams who returned to the club after being ill all week is likely to give a debut to Hungarian keeper Marton Fulop who is expected to take over the number one shirt from Clayton Ince. The 22 year old has joined City on a three month loan from Tottenham.
Back from suspension is Robert Page whose influence in defence has been surely missed. Adrian Heath told the CET:
"You don't need to be Einstein to work out that Pagey will come back! "That will be a welcome boost because we've certainly missed him, not just for his ability but because he's a leader."He's a current international who brings a lot of experience and personality to the team and he's a talker - a very positive player whose determination rubs off on the people around him." Claus Jorgensen is also available after serving a suspension for foul and abusive language. Gary McSheffrey looks likely to lead the attack against the club he was twice loaned to, before his misses the Stoke game on Wednesday through suspension.
The referee is Mr M.Thorpe from Suffolk. This will be the 67th meeting between the two sides with Coventry winning 33 times compared to Luton’s 20.
Current form leaves a lot to be desired for the Sky Blues who have not won in four matches and only have won twice all season (three if you included pre-season and all cups),leaving them in the bottom three.
City beat Luton 5-0 in 1991 at Highfield Road when both sides were in the top flight. Luton won the return game 1-0 and triumphed 2-0 in a League Cup tie in 1998 and one noted for the non-appearance of Dion Dublin who moved three weeks later to Aston Villa and the appearance of City fanzine Twist n Shout. The 100th edition of which will be available tomorrow.
Tickets are available up until kick off. Those using the Travel Coventry normal bus services are advised to leave a bit early earlier as the bus service in the city over the last few days has been unreliable to say the least.
