Coventry City face a big game tonight against high-flying Wigan Athletic at Highfield Road (7.45pm). Having been boosted by the win at Reading, City need another victory to move back up the table.

Ian Bennett who had a good debut on Saturday is the only available keeper as Scott Shearer is out on loan at Rushden & Diamonds, Richard Brush is out for the rest of the season and Jonny Tuffey is on international duty with Northern Ireland U19’s.

New signing Marcus Hall should be given a start ahead of Stuart Giddings, however Robert Page is out with a knee ligament injury and will not be ready for at least a fortnight.

Stephen Hughes has over come concussion and is likely to slot back into midfield. Andy Morrell, Craig Pead and Eddy Johnson have all returned to training but are not available for selection.

Stern John and Trevor Benjamin are likely to start up front.

Wigan boss Paul Jewell has doubts about his strike force of Nathan Ellington and Jason Roberts. The pair have scored 35 league goals between them this season. Neither Roberts whose uncle and agent is former City legend Cyrille Regis or Ellington trained yesterday but both could be ok to play.

Jewell may change his midfield with Andreas Johansson, Jason Jarrett and Gareth Whalley in contention to partner the influential Jimmy Bullard on the left side of midfield.

If Wigan win, they will top the Championship table after Ipswich’s defeat at home to Watford last night.

Tickets are available for the game which kicks off at 7.45pm
