Coventry City travel up the M6 to play Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux in a game brought forward by police to a 12.30pm kick off.
City manager Peter Reid has Stern John and Tim Sherwood definitely out, but will be able to call on the services of Dele Adebola who wowed City supporters with an excellent twenty minute display against Plymouth last Saturday, if he wishes to drop either Gary McSheffrey or Eddy Johnson.
Reid told the CET: I prefer games at three o'clock but there is a theory that there are more goals in earlier kick-offs. "I have told the players I want the same again from them with the same desire to win the game and win the second balls. I am going with a 4-4-2 and I want to get at them. "You are never going to play well in every game but in terms of work-rate, it is a pre-requisite and shouldn't be debatable. Every time players go out they should try to win battles and earn the right to play football. "They have faltered once at Leicester but they bounced back at the weekend and we have just got to get them working like that consistently now. "It is going to be difficult at Wolves who are a massive football club with some quality players, but we have proved we can play against the so-called best sides so hopefully we can get a performance and get the three points. "It is another Midlands derby. The players weren't up for the last one but hopefully they will be up for this one because it is a great place to go and play football and they need to repay the fans with a good performance and victory."
They face a Wolves side that is still without a manager. The Wolves board have relented in their stance against Gary Megson but Wolves fans have made it clear that the former manager of their deadly rivals would not be accepted in their part of the Black Country.
Speaking to the Wolves official site, Caretaker boss Stuart Grey said:"Mark Kennedy is fit again, along with Colin Cameron. Cams hasn't trained all week but he'll join in this morning and we expect him to be ok. "I haven't seen Seol yet - who has been to Korea - but Seyi is back. He played 90 minutes in South Africa and has had a long trip back, so we'll need to see how he is.
"I was pleased with Seol's 30-minute contribution last weekend. He caused Rotherham some problems and it's a shame we haven't had him to work with during the week."Mark Clyde played the majority of the reserves game on Monday and came through that fine, so he will be included in the squad. "So that just leaves Paul Ince missing after his toe operation. He will be out of action for a couple of weeks. "We need to start off with a high tempo and get the crowd behind us. "It's an unusual kick-off time but it's the same for both sides. We've tinkered with training a bit this week to prepare for the earlier time.”
Tickets for the game which is not being televised are still available with City fans being housed in the lower tier of the Steve Bull Stand. Tickets for Coventry supporters cost £24 with concession at £13.
