Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd has said that City need 53 points in order to avoid relegation.
Speaking to the Press Association, Boothroyd, whose team currently have 41 points, said: "We can`t rely on three teams to be a lot worse than we are. As I`ve said before, there`s lots of positives here throughout the season but there are reasons for what has happened and the place we find ourselves in now. But what we need to do is to get points on the board.
"I think the Hull game, Preston and Burnley are big games for us. That`s not putting any pressure on the players, it`s where we find ourselves. Then we have the international break and then we`re in the run-in. We`ve got to make sure we have an enjoyable April. We want to finish on a high, we want to finish better than last year, it`s really important."
So when asked if the immediate target was to guarantee safety, Boothroyd said: "Absolutely, as fast as we can, definitely. I think it`s going to be about 52/53 points."
