Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said that the 1-0 defeat at Swindon was a game of missed opportunities.
Mowbray told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: “It was a game of missed opportunities, really.
“You’re always downhearted after a defeat, disappointed for the supporters who have travelled a long way and disappointed for the team who worked so hard but there you go – if you don’t take your chances you can’t win matches.“The performance was OK for the opening day of the season but we need to be more ruthless in the top third of the pitch.
“We were playing a decent football team whose ball retention is good and yet we could have been 2-0 up inside five minutes. And I think that if we had scored first we would have gone on to win the game because they would have been forced to over-commit and we’d have waited on the change of possession.
