Former Coventry City captain Richard Keogh has had a good few days.
The Derby County defender, became a father for the first time on Sunday and then he was named as Derby's Player Of The Year and Player's Player Of The Year.
It’s been a whirlwind few days,” Keogh told dcfc.co.uk. “My wife was induced after the game on Saturday, which I knew beforehand, so I concentrated on the match and then I shot off afterwards to be with her.
“I didn’t sleep for over 24 hours – but my wife and baby boy are both healthy and that is the main thing.
“It’s an amazing feeling to win both awards and it’s a few days that I won’t forget; it’s been special.”
Former Coventry City defender Cyrus Christie was named as the Rams Young Player Of The Year.
