Bristol City manager Sean O'Driscoll declared his side's 5-4 defeat to Coventry City as a game for the neutrals.
Speaking to Bristol City's YouTube channel, O’Driscoll said: “For the neutrals it was a great game; for the two managers it showed up the frailties in the two teams.
"At half-time we wanted to generate a better performance. If you go in there and say ‘we can win this’ that puts unrealistic expectations on the players.
“We got back in the game so credit to the players. We didn’t mince our words at half-time but we tried to generate a positive about what we needed to do rather than bemoan what had gone on.
“There were lots of things going on. We’ve won the second half 4-2, but the two goals we’ve conceded have been dreadful. They’re dreadful in any league or competition, especially when you’ve worked so hard to get back into the game."
