Coventry City manager Mark Robins has said that Saturday’s home FA Cup Second Round tie against Morecambe is a chance to progress.
The Sky Blues have only met Morecambe once before and that was in a League Cup tie in August 2010 when Aidy Boothroyd’s side went down to a 2-0 defeat at the Globe Arena and the current City manager is looking to make amends for that with a victory on Saturday.
Robins told club journalist Keiran Crowley: “They will be a difficult team to beat and we have to be at our best to beat them. The club lost against them a couple of years ago and I am sure the fans don’t want that to happen again.
“It would be a great opportunity for us to get into the third round and we have done well in cup competitions this season so it would be good to keep that up.”
Tickets are on sale for the game priced at £10 for adults and £5 concessions.
