A Look At City's Record At Southend

Saturday will see Coventry City’s 24th visit to Southend United. 

The Sky Blues have won on six occasions in league and cup matches, with five draws and twelve defeats and have scored 26 goals to Southend’s 41. 

City’s last win in a league game at Roots Hall was on Friday October 13th 2006 and saw a 3-2 win. 

Freddie Eastwood put Southend ahead with a 28th minute penalty with Stephen Hughes getting City level four minutes before half-time. Colin Cameron converted a 47th minute penalty to put City in front but in the 72nd minute, Eastwood levelled, only for Dele Adebola to score in the 79th minute and spark some crazy scenes amongst the 788 City supporters at Roots Hall that night.
