Rumours appear more to be about who is leaving rather than who is coming in but Mr Ranson told the CT which increased its price to 42p yesterday: "The transfer window has not even opened yet so a lot can happen in next five or six weeks and if we can't get people in January then we will strengthen our arm in the summer.
"We have not written this season off and there is still plenty to play for and that is why we hope to do some business in January."
