Burnley boss Eddie Howe felt that his side's 1-1 draw against Coventry City was a scrappy affair.
Speaking to the Press Association, Howe said: "It was a scrappy game. I felt we never had control and we didn't play as well as we have done in recent weeks, which is disappointing.
"We scored a great goal against the run of play. It was a great finish from Charlie and a great ball in from Ross but it didn't really happen for us.
"Only in the last phase when they were down to 10 did we kick on and create chances. It was never going to be an easy game against a side fighting for their lives.
"They really needed to win the game and that made it quite open but from our view we never got to grips with it and didn't boss the game like we should have.
"It's a disappointment because recently our performance levels have been very good. I don't think we really got going.
"We have had the better chances and should have won it late on."
