The Chairman of Arena Coventry Limited which runs the Ricoh Arena has announced that he will retire from the Board.
Mr Allvey, a former Group Finance Director at Barclay's, Chief Operations Officer of Zurich Financial Services AG, Former Director of British American Tobacco, Chairman of Costain Group PLC and currently an Independent Non Executive Director of Thomas Cook PLC, is being reported as retiring from the board due to 'difference of opinion' over 'future strategy'
It is understood that Coventry City's non payment of rent for the last two months and their inability to afford the rent in future following relegation to League One has played its part in his decision to retire from the board.
