Former Coventry City loanee Adam Armstrong has joined Blackburn Rovers.
The striker has made a permanent move from Newcastle United and signed a four year deal with Blackburn who are managed by former City boss Tony Mowbray, assisted by his side kick Mark Venus.
It was Mowbray who was the factor which persuaded Armstrong to move to the Championship club and the former City loanee told Blackburn's club website: "I had a connection with the gaffer as soon as I went to Coventry.
"We've got a good bond and he was a massive factor as to why I came here.
"He lets you play your normal game, he speaks to you a lot and he makes you feel wanted, which is a massive thing for a player, because your confidence is always high.
"I'm thriving under him at the minute and I'd like to continue that this season and really kick on.
"I'm still young, I'm only 21, and still learning the game. There's the right players and staff here to help me do that, so I'm looking forward to it."
