Adams Hits Back

Coventry City manager Micky Adams has hit back at some of the City support calling for his head. "It upsets me and it upsets me when my little five year asks me why they are all shouting at their dad", said the father of five to the CT.

"I try to explain to him that 'it's part of the job son,get on with it' but I will keep taking him to games because like me he has to learn.

"Some of the chants were disgusting but what can I do? All we can try is to change people's perceptions.

"I am in a results business but I have sat here before when things have not gone well for me.

"I am going to keep myself going and I am proud to be manager of this football club and it was a great honour to be given the chance to turn fortunes around.

"It has been a bad week but there are 46 games in a season. I know some of the punters may not be with us on Saturday but we have got to change that around.

"We understand that people aren't happy. In a perverse sort of way I quite enjoy it when the going gets tough.

"I never got carried away last year when we went on that unbeaten run and everyone was patting me on the back. I know there is still a long way to go but I will continue to stand in the technical area good or bad.

Meanwhile, the City boss is to decide on the future of Richard Duffy,Clive Clarke and Darrie Currie as well as Matt Heath and Wayne Andrews over the next few days.
