Micky Adams has said that he is looking for an influential player to give City a boost. The City boss brought in Dennis Wise this season and is looking for someone as equally effecting in reviving some spark in the City team.
Adams Looks For Influence
Adams told the CT: "It is still the case that I am looking for someone. "The deal was there and then, all of a sudden, the manager changed his mind and it fell through. "But we are lacking something in the last third - a bit of creativity from somebody and natural wide players.
We haven't really got a winger-type player in the squad. "You have to pay top dollar for people like Lee Hendrie, so players like that don't come cheap. "I would understand if the board tell me that I have got a decent squad, which I maintain that I have, but perhaps we have got much of a muchness rather than some sort of inspirational player.
"People say Kevin Thornton might be that man but he's injured. "He has an ankle ligament problem which has kept him out for a couple of weeks but he might well have featured had he been fit.
"It's all ifs and buts and you can only work with the squad available. "We have got to go into the next two home games nice and positive and looking to win them."
