Micky Adams speaking after City's win over Brighton which lifted them to 19th place in the table: "It was a shame someone had to lose but those were a vital three points for us.
"I thought we gave a very, very good performance because the effort and the commitment were there.
"In the first half I thought Brighton were a lot stronger than us, particularly at set-pieces. "But in the second half we got to grips with the game."
He added: "I didn't see a penalty. Although I'd love to say the referee got it right, I'll have to look at the video before I can make a decision.
But he pointed straight to the spot and I was glad to see Gary McSheffrey put the ball away."
