Speaking after City's 3-1 defeat at Leeds United,Micky Adams said: "The game is all about sticking your chances away and we didn't do that but I think the fans here could tell we were the better team. There is no question about that and we take heart from it. We played the most fluent football, we hit the woodwork numerous times, we missed a penalty and it could have been very different.
"We let Leeds back into the game with some sloppy defending at a bad time but there is no doubt we were the better side. "We came into this game full of belief and I feel sick for the players because the scoreline does not reflect the game.
"We played well but did not get the result and that can happen in football. I'm sure they won't let it knock their confidence against Crewe.
"Whoever plays against Crewe has got to do a job and try to get us back on that winning trail. If we can get our recovery and attitude to that game right we can get the result on Wednesday."
