City boss Micky Adams at the after match press conference said: "We obviously ran into a few problems in the first half hour. "We had the three substitutions and when we were down to ten men, we conceded the goal. It couldn't have been any worse really.
"The first shout with Matt Heath was that he was okay - but he obviously wasn't okay. It was definitely clear that Scowcroft and Marcus Hall had to come off. While we were preparing those two, we then got the shout that Sticksy had to come off as well. "I think all three will be out for a while. Sticksy has a back injury, as well as problems in his rib area. Marcus Hall looks like he has torn his calf and Scowcroft has a neck injury.
"At that stage of the game I was toying with young Kevin Thornton but I looked at the bench and thought there was three experienced players there. In the present climate at the football club, I thought all three would be able to handle the situation we were in and would rally the troops and that's what they did."

"After the substitutions, I think we grew. The crowd looked as though they had half-turned on us and we responded in the right way. You've got to go out there and be big men and get on with it.
"I think we've been doing alright and we've been so close to turning the draws we've had into wins. We've managed to get a victory now and hopefully that will take us forward.
"I thought the training this week was magnificent. There was an atmosphere about the place and once again, I think that was partly down to Don Hutchison."
