Speaking after the Sky Blues first win of the season, Micky Adams said: "I'm pleased. Believe me, I'm pleased.
"I didn't see any bad blood out there - it was simply a competitive football match, as they all are in this league. "Ian Holloway is a highly competitive manager and so am I, so I would expect our teams to be as well.
"Did Danny Shittu deserve to get sent-off, would I have been upset if that had happened to one of my players? Put it this way, I've seen referees give those decision before.
"Some people might have said it was an unusual refereeing performance but aren't they all these days?"
