Micky Adams said after the defeat by Queens Park Rangers: “I did plan to watch the whole game from the stand but I couldn’t do that. I had to get involved.
“We shared the talking between us at half time but Adrian Heath has taken the team all week, so I didn’t want to interfere too much.
“I am always disappointed to concede goals but I was heartened by what I saw in the second half. That was more like what we are going to need if we are going to retrieve this situation.
“The work rate was much better and so was the desire to play.”
