Micky Adams was furious after his side let a two goal slip against Queens Park Rangers.
He told the club website: "I've said it many times before and I stand by the fact that pre-season is a fitness exercise.
"It's unfortunate that we've been involved in a tournament of football against league opposition as that's not my sort of pre-season and isn't ideal. I've enjoyed the tour but I've not enjoyed the games and I've not enjoyed the atmosphere around the place."
"We havent got many bodies in the squad at the moment. If we haven't got bodies then we need to put our kids through and get the best out of the players we have. We have new players and we have to integrate them and gear up for the new season. As a fitness exercise, it went well as a lot of players got 90 minutes under their belts. That's what it is all about. But we aren't going to get the best out of our players if the fans abuse them."
