Micky Adams refused to blame Dele Adebola for not putting away the two chances he had.

Said the City boss: "I'm not gonna hammer the big man. He's been on fire and has contributed to a very hard working performance.

"I'm pleased to a degree with where we are. We are certainly in a better position than last season.

"My teams generally get better as the season progresses - I don't know why but I'm hoping that continues."
