Former Derby midfielder Powell was the player of the tour of Ireland and played for the last half hour against Walsall on Tuesday whilst Watson who has shown to be a good crosser of the ball has featured in most of the pre-season games so far.
Said Micky Adams, "There is a limited amount of cash available and I don't want to go to the Chairman until I'm positive about either of them. But both boys really need to get their futures settled this week."
