Adams Wants Shaw For Another Year

Micky Adams has said that he wants Richard Shaw to play another season. The City boss said: "Richard knows my thoughts on the subject because we have spoken as the season has progressed and I think there is another year in him. "I wouldn't say another year as a regular but certainly coming in and adding his experience to the squad in certain games, so I think it is there for him.

"But it has got to be his decision and he has got to be motivated to do that. I was slightly different because I had a lot of injuries at the end of my career and I couldn't wait to finish but Richard is a healthy, fit young man who I think has been outstanding this season and really, whether this is his last swansong or not, I still think he has got the legs and heart to do another season at this level."
