Coventry City supporters who were present at the defeat against Queens Park Rangers last night in Ibiza, have denied suggestions that Liam Davis was abused through out the second half.
Micky Adams had said after the game: "We're in Ibiza, kick-off is at 9pm and people have been drinking all day. People should expect trouble. What our fans should also appreciate is that we are 12 or 13 days into our pre-season programme. "I had fans behind me abusing a 17-year-old kid who has come through our youth team and is a product of our Academy. He is 17-years-old and I'm not having that as manager of this club. So I would tell those fans to stay away because that is nonsense. All that is, is alcohol. Yes, they have paid their money - but they should realise that games like this are a fitness exercise and if they can't understand that, the message to them is don't come. I don't want them anywhere near me or the team
Said Andy Armit who was on the official tour: "There was no abuse of Liam Davis at all.
"There was a very small section of the City support who were not on the official trip, who shouted general abuse at the team without singling any individual player.
"In fact, there was shouts of "Go On Who Ever You Are" aimed at Davis who is not known to most supporters. "
