Danny Ward believes that Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd can help him in his career.

Speaking to the CT, Ward, who made his City debut against Leicester on Saturday after signing on loan until January 1st said: "I spoke to Owen Coyle at Bolton a couple of weeks ago and he said a number of clubs had come in for me and said go away and talk to my agent about it and speak to the clubs and make my own decision.

"I watched Coventry a bit last season and when the manager rang me up I knew he had done his homework because he knew all about me and how I play, so it was easy to make my choice.

"It was great to find out so many clubs were interested in me but I thought Coventry was the best one for me.

"I knew that Adam Johnson and Ashley Young had done well under the manager at Watford and they are playing for England now, so he's a really good manager to work under.

"My aim is to play as many games as I can for Coventry and then push into the Bolton team and hopefully the England team in a couple of years."
