Speaking to the CT, Boothroyd said: "Carl Baker's problem is that sometimes he wants to come and play too deep and the same goes for Freddy Eastwood.
"But they are attacking players and the one thing I will get into the players eventually is that I want them to play to their strengths.
"So I don't want Carl or Freddy getting it off the back four. I want them higher up the pitch where they can create problems and that's something we will look at with the team shape on a daily basis because it is about repetition and we are only two or three weeks in."
