Coventry City manager Andy Thorn has said that this afternoon’s pre-season game at Kettering Town is all about fitness.
Thorn is again expected to divide his players into two teams and give them forty five minutes each in the game at Rockingham Road which kicks off at 3pm.
Speaking to Sky Blue Player, Andy Thorn said: “It is still all about fitness for us because what we need to do is make sure we don’t peak to early. We want to be starting to peak against Norwich so we are firing for the opening game of the season against Leicester.
"If we looked like we were starting to peak against Nuneaton I would have been a bit concerned to be honest. It's all about making sure the players all get enough minutes under their belts to carry them through a long season.
"That said it's another step up on Saturday and we've got to keep doing what we have been doing."
