Covsupport News Service would like to wish all the best to Ray Gooding and John Bloxham who have been made redundant by Coventry City.
Former player Ray, once scored City's 500th league goal in that thrilling 5-4 victory against Norwich City in 1977 and was involved in the recruiting of young players to the club especially from places such as Ireland where City at one time had a number of scouts reporting to Ray Gooding.
John Bloxham had also worked for the Academy and was involved in the education and housing side of things making sure that the first teamers of tomorrow, attended college and were housed either at Ryton or in lodgings. He was also involved helping the team on a matchday.
John is a lifelong City supporter who has attended many, many away matches over the years and often travelled on the coach from the ground.
We wish them both well in their future careers.
