The Sky Blues have failed to record a single goal in their opening two public pre-season games in the UK against Conference North sides and City boss Aidy Boothroyd joked: "I think I will put the teams down for a 0-0 draw on the coupon for Northampton."
The City boss thought the wind at Hinckley played a part and told the CT: "I would say the wind played a factor because in the first half there was a gale blowing towards our goal and the goalkeeper got injured and couldn't kick it, which is always a problem. "And in the second half we had a lot more possession and a lot more shots and crosses but we just couldn't find the net.
"The full-backs like to get forward and that's what I want because I want us to be an attacking team and play in between the lines and down the side of teams, and not to be too predictable.
"We have created a lot of chances in both games. But - at this moment in time - we have not been able to score because sometimes people have not been in the right positions or fit enough to get there, or there have been some fantastic last ditch saves and defending which we got on Saturday.
"But keeping clean sheets is a nice habit at any level and now we have got to score some goals, and if we do that we should be ready for the up and coming games.
"We trained in the morning before the match on Saturday and a lot of managers wouldn't do that because there is a lot of pressure to get results, but it is all about getting fit and getting ready."
