Tony Andreu has said that Coventry City have to be more clinical in front of goal.

Andreu scored City's goal from a 52nd minute free kick but the Sky Blues allowed Scunthorpe United to score through Humphreys and Dales and leave the Ricoh Arena with a 2-1 win.

Speaking to the media, Andreu said about his goal; “To be honest I have been taking them in training for a couple of months to get the feel of it and it was probably the best position for me.

“I like to take it from this distance and I knew it had to go over the wall and it did and it went into the back of the net so I’ll take that.”

However, he felt that chances needed to be put away and said: “It was our first game in League One, we have to take the positives going forward and hopefully we will turn the performance into results and get points.

“We could have scored three or four goals if we were clinical, but we weren’t and they were.

“They scored goals on the counter attack and they killed us and we were a bit deflated and it was hard to come back, so it’s a shame but there’s positives to go forward with.

“We created a lot of chances with Jordy, Tom and Max, I thought we did well, but we have to be clinical and like I say and we weren’t.

“But, it’s good were creating chances, we just have to put them in the back of the net.”
