Former Coventry City midfielder Andy Rose is heading to Canada.
Rose, born in Australia, joined the Sky Blues from Seattle Sounders and made 33 appearances in 2016/2017, scoring six goals.
When his contract expired, Rose joined Motherwell and made 38 appearances. However, in his contract, was that if an MLS side came in for him, Rose who has a Green Card, could return to the American League, who centrally own the player's contracts.
So Rose will return next month to the MLS with Vancouver Whitecaps and told the Motherwell website: “I’ve had such an amazing time at Fir Park and I want to thank everyone at the football club for making me feel welcome from day one.
“From the fans, to the staff, to the boys in the dressing room, it’s been an unforgettable experience for me and my family.
“The opportunity to return to America is something which I could not risk turning down and I’m extremely grateful to the club for supporting me, not just now, but throughout my time here in Scotland.”
